While Elon Musk may enjoy diving into the world ofElden Ring, not everything about the gaming community is to his liking. The former CEO of X likes to take to the platform and vent his grievances, and he has done the same regarding the Sweet Baby Inc. controversy.
Sweet Baby Inc. has been in the news for a while now, and the reputation they have gained over the past few weeks has not been the best. If anything, they have reignited the culture war between progressives and conservatives, with Elon Musk now throwing his opinion into the mix as well.

Musk retweeted this episode, explicitly stating he does not believe “woke bs” should be in video games. He believes that people do not wish to play games that lecture the player with “tedious propaganda.” He is not alone in this sentiment, as popular streamerDr. Disrespect responded to his tweet with his support.

The topic of whether video games should carry political ideologies is a debate that has no end. While some feel it is important for games to reflect sentiments that could create a progressive society, others are of the notion that the focus is taken away from the point of video games: to have fun. No matter which side you fall on, there are pros and cons, and a lot of discussion has yet to happen.
Musk’s Sentiments are Echoed by Other Gamers
Sweet Baby Inc. found itself in the news due to its functioning. Essentially, they can be hired by gaming companies to provide writers to help flesh out the story. They are very transparent about their approach to writing,focusing on representation and marginalized groups. Many gamers find the inclusion of such ideologies in games to be dog whistles for topics they are not interested in.
