MoreGenshin Impact 2.3leaks have been shared on Twitter by the usual data miners, most notably revealing a brand new waifu, Ms Hina, who’s already been nicknamed Gorou’s mom by fans, here’s what you need to know.
Genshin Impact, ever since the start of the Inazuma Archon Quest, has been introducing more and more animalistic characters. Mondstadt already had catboys and catgirls. Liyue had the Adepti characters. And now Inazuma is slowly but surely revealing many new waifus and husbandos inspired by Yokai.

Over on Twitter, renowned leaker Lumie shared a new artwork of a character appearing inGenshin Impact Version 2.3. The character wears a kimono, has dog ears, and overall the same color scheme as Gorou, which immediately made fans nickname her Gorou’s mom.
There is a lot of material that would sustain that theory. The voice lines of Kujou Sara about Gorou in-game most notably mention he’s the 5th son of his family. Hinting we will get to see Gorou’s siblings and parents in the future.
A few days later, another leaker, Genshin Intel, has confirmed the new waifu is called Ms Hina. The Miss part of her title could be “Okami-san” in Japanese, hinting that she’s the boss of an inn or a shop. This is furthermore hinted at by the fact that the leaked artwork is a billboard advertising a shop.

Overall, all these hints point toward Ms Hina being an Inugami. These are creatures appearing in Japanese folklore just like Oni (Arataki Itto) or Tengu (Kujou Sara). It’s another Japanese folklore staple used in anime, and one of the few yet to be represented in Inazuma.
Overall, the depiction of Inuagmi in anime is pretty different from the historical legends. Inugami in anime are often alluring women wearing kimono, acting as merchants, such as the boss (Okami-san) of an establishment like an inn.

A good recent example would be Tomoe inYozakura Quartet. Overall, Inugami are depicted very similarly to Kitsune characters like Yae Miko inGenshin Impact. Except with dog ears and tails instead of fox ears and tails.
As for whether Ms.Hina will be playable or not inGenshn Impact, I believe she won’t be anytime soon. Most notably because looking at the leaks so far, Ms Hina doesn’t directly appear inGenshin Impact 2.3. We actually only see a billboard of her. I thinksimilarly with Alice, Ms Hina will be payable one day, but in the far future.
