On November 10,Genshin Impactdeveloper miHoYo officially announced the date and time for the Version 2.3 sneak peek Livestream, confirming Albedo is the character getting a rerun.

Ever since the launch of Version 2.2, miHoYo revealed Arataki Itto and Gorou would be the new playable characters ofGenshin ImpactVersion 2.3. This is the usual “drip marketing” strategy that started with Inazuma, officially announcing the next version’s characters before they leak. miHoYo definitely had the right idea, and the only thing missing now for the community to stop turning to leaks would be new update roadmaps, but that sadly hasn’t happened yet.

Anyways, seeing past leaks mentioned Arataki Itto would be a 5-star character and Gorou a 4-star character, it meant that one older character would be getting a rerun before or after the Itto banner.

Albedo banner rerun confirmed forGenshin Impact Version 2.3

The Version 2.3 Livestream thumbnail has SD (chibi) versions of Itto, Gorou, and Albedo. Confirming their Chinese voice actors will be appearing on the Chinese stream, and confirming Albedo is the banner rerun character of 2.3. Unless miHoYo decided to troll everyone, with Childe suddenly appearing and kicking Albedo out on the stream.

Note that we will only know the banners' order for sure during the live stream. It’s impossible to know right whether the Albedo banner rerun is first, or if Itto’s new banner is coming first. Similarly, past leaks stated Gorou will be featured on Itto’s banner. But there is no way to know for sure before the live stream. Gorou might end up on Albedo’s banner instead.

The Chinese live stream will be happening on November 12, at 7 AM EST / 4 AM PST.Click herefor other time zones and acountdown. You can watch the Chinese stream onGenshin’sBilibili channelas usual. The English stream will be onTwitchat the same time. I personally prefer following the Chinese stream, especially after the 2.1 English stream delay fiasco.

Genshin ImpactVersion 2.3 will be launching on August 23, 2025, on PC, PlayStation, and Mobile. You can always reach me on Twitter for aGenshinchat@A_iyane07. As usual, I plan to cover the Chinese stream and translate the details using the JapaneseGenshin Impactofficial Twitter. So, like Ulala would say, stay tuned.
