Like all good things,Stranger Things, the beloved TV series created by Matt and Ross Duffer, is coming to an end. The fifth and final season of Netflix’s sci-fi horror drama series has finally started filming, much to the delight of horror fans who have been waiting for its return. Even though the plot is so shrouded in mystery, fans are still making every effort to gain further insight. And, Gaten Matarazzo, who has taken on the role of Dustin Henderson (one of Will Byers’ friends), recently dropped a bombshell about the upcoming season 5.

Gaten Matarazzo

Even though there have been a number of tragic incidents and character deaths on the show during its four seasons, Matarazzo believes that a higher death count would have made the action more intense. The young star, 21, stated during a panel event at MegaCon Orlando that he wanted to see more character deaths, which would raise the stakes on the show.

But did he unintentionally reveal that none of our beloved main characters are likely to meet their demise?

“He’s borderline jobless now”: Noah Schnapp’s Damage Control Backfires as Fans Vow to Boycott Stranger Things Season 5 After Actor’s Shenanigans

“It might sound messed up, but we shouldkill more people. This show would be so much better if the stakes were much higher, like at any moment any of these kids can kick it. I feel like we’re all too safe.”

The stakes should be increased by having some of the cast members killed off, in his opinion, as many of them are too safe.If so, is it a sign of what’s in store for season 5, or is it an indication of something entirely different?
