James Gunn’s DCU has made some interesting casting choices. While initially there was a lot of pushback from fans of Zack Snyder about the people that James Gunn decided to deploy, the fandom at large has drowned these voices as more and more actors have been spotted in costume.

However, there is a trend that fans have started to identify among the key cast members of the DCU, something that a section of the fandom has found…attractive to say the least. While it is usually the case that superhero costumes and actors usually have very imposing physiques, Gunn might have just taken it to the next level.

All of James Gunn’s key male cast are just incredibly tall

Whether it beDavid Corenswetor the recently cast Aaron Pierre (Jon Stewart), all the actors that James Gunn has cast in his DCU in key roles are well above 1.80 meters tall. This has set the internet ablaze, as villains and heroes who are as imposing as this are rarely seen on screen these days.

However, there might be a reason behind it all. A lot of DC’s heroes are canonically taller than the average human being, Further, given that these heroes and villains put their bodies through a lot, and a lot of them have day jobs that require them to be in physically peak condition, it makes sense that James Gunn would be recruiting his own little army of giants for the acting talent of the DCU.

Given that even the old DCEU had actors who were not only tall but also incredibly buff, it is no surprise thatJames Gunn‘s cast of heroes have such imposing physiques not to mention the acting talent that comes with the actors that Gunn has no doubt hand-picked himself.

Fans are eager to find out who will be playing key roles in the DCU

The DCU has it’s Superman, it’s Lex Luthor, it’s Hal Jordan and even it’s John Stewart. However, fans are eager to see which actors fill the ranks of the core members of the Justice League and how they end up looking leading up to the inevitable first installment in the franchise. Key characters that fans want to see cast in the story are Wonder Woman, Batman, The Flash, and any other members that are going to be part of James Gunn’s version of the Justice League.

James Gunn has dubbed the first Chapter of the DCU as Gods and Monsters. However, there seems to be a severe lack of a show or a film that follows a third of DC’s Trinity. While Superman is in product and Batman: Brave and the Bold is set to feature Bruce, there is yet to be a project focused on Diana, whose absence might not sit well with fans in the first Chapter of the DCU.
