A new server-side update toFortnitehas added the brand-new ‘lock on pistol’ to the game’s loot pool. As the name suggests, this new weapon will automatically lock on to your targets, practically giving you a form of aimbot…without the actual cheating, of course. The new pistol can be acquired via floor loot, in chests, via supply drones, or by fishing for loot. It also only comes in the blue rare rarity version, so you won’t find any common, epic, or legendary versions of the pistol at the moment. According toHYPEX, the lock on pistol can hold 12 bullets per magazine, deals 20 damage, has a reload time of 1.8 seconds and has a fire rate of 15.READ MORE:Resident Evil 4 Remake Has A Pretty Overpowered Infinite Ammo GlitchAlthough a pistol that automatically locks on to your target may certainly sound overpowered, it’s not all it’s cut out to be. A blue circular outline will then appear, and by the looks of it as long your enemy is within that circle, fire away!
