Fortnitemares 2022is finally happening withinFortnite, bringing a lot of new content for players to enjoy. This new event has given the map a Halloween makeover while also bringing back the Pumpkin Launcher, Candy, the Zero Build Horde Rush limited-time mode, and even a new NPC boss at Grim Gables. Fortnitemares has also seen some existing map locations getting altered by the Chrome, such as Sleepy Sound, which is now Shiny Sound.

While all these changes offer a fresh new feel to the popular Battle Royale game, the introduction of a new Mythic Item is also sure to turn a few heads. When jumping into Fortnite this Halloween season, players can find the new Howler Claws, and doing so will also complete one of your daily Fortnitemares Quests. Here is everything you need to know about obtaining this new Mythic item.
What are the Howler Claws?
The Howler Claws are a brand new Mythic item that can only be acquired through performing a certain action during Fortnite’s Fortnitemares event. When equipped, players can make use of three different abilities:
How To Get The Howler Claws
The first step to obtaining the Howler Claws is to locate an Alteration Altar, one of which can be found at Reality Tree. If you are too far from the Reality Tree, don’t worry because other altars can also be found in other areas of the map. When hunting for the Alteration Altars, head to the following locations showcased in the below image.
All that is left now is to perform the Ritual Emote. You will not have the emote available by default, but once you reach and alter you will be given the option to use it. Once the ritual is complete, you’ll be given the Howler Claws, which can be added to your inventory. Players who possess the Howler Claws will wear a wolf mask, and their claws are visible when equipped.
