Tanta Prav is the second Tanta that players will need to take down inForspoken. This Tanta is ruthless, and while she may not deal as much damage asTanta Sila, she demands much more strategy and adaptation during her battle.

Taking on Prav can come as a bit of a surprise to players, as it’s not the primary focus of Frey and Cuff when they are forced to take her on. For this reason, the battle may catch players off guard and be more difficult than others that are fought in the game. Using the tips outlined in this guide can set you up for success and ensure that you come out of the battle victorious.

General Tips & Tricks

There are a few things that players must keep in mind when taking on the Tanta of Justice. Like the fight against Tanta Sila, there will be three phases to this battle, each of them posing its own obstacle for Frey to overcome. Some of the tips and tricks listed below can be used in boss fights throughout the game, so it is a good idea to read through them and keep them in mind, not just when facing off against Prav, but the other Tantas and Mutants of Athia.

Tanta Prav - Phase 1

When Tanta Prav first sends to the water trial, she will have to defeat a fewdifferent waves of enemies. At first, this is just somearchersfollowed bygoats(why Tanta Prav keeps goats on hand is beside me). It’s the final wave of these enemies that will likely pose the biggest issue, as players must take onmultiple Pitiless Arbitersat once. These are hard enough to take on one at a time, but fighting multiple at a time can be tough, especially on higher difficulties.

The best course of action when facing Pitiless Arbiters is tostay light on your feet,avoid taking damage, and when they stop to judge the tides of the battle (this will be evident by their pause in movement and glowing scales)unleash a flurry of attacksto whittle their health down. Because there are multiple of these enemies at once, players should focus theirfull effort on taking one down at a time. Doing this means that once an Arbiter is defeated, the threat is massively reduced, making the rest of the battle much simpler.

Tanta Prav - Phase 2

Once the waves of enemies are defeated, Prav herself will enter the arena to face Frey. This section of the battle will be tough because the Tanta will lob projectiles at Frey in quick succession. To come out of this phase unscathed, players will need to move around the arena quickly to avoid the shots thrown their way. One of the attacks to watch out for is Prav’swater beam, which will launch Frey towards a wall and create a moment of stagger, making it hard to bounce back from. This can be anticipated to a degree as Prav will charge up for a moment before striking the player, providing the opportunity to dodge with quick parkour moves.

This phase, and the next one, are where it becomes vital touse the game’s lock-on feature. It is important because Tanta Prav will move quickly around the arena, and players need to keep an eye on her, both to land offensive hits and to watch out for her tells and know when to dodge. The lock-on feature can be activated by clicking the right analog stick. You’ll know it’s been activated when the screen follows the targeted enemy’s movement and there will also be a purple indicator around the lock-on symbol. Alongside locking-on to Prav, players will want to rely heavily on ranged attacks rather than Sila’s melee-focused magic. This is the best way to ensure Prav takes substantial damage since she will move too quickly and float too high above the player to be hit with melee attacks.

Tanta Prav - Phase 3

The third, and final, phase is the most dangerous. This is where players can make fatal errors easily. In this part of the fight, Prav willmanipulate the gravityin the arena, causing the ground to become the ceiling and vice versa. This means that instead of having a solid ground to run around on, most of thefloor will be occupied by water(aside from a few platforms that players can use for safety). Staying out of the water is necessary, as Prav can use the water to inflict massive amounts of damage against the player. It can be tough to steer clear of the water because the boss will do her best to move Frey back to the dangerous areas of the battlefield.

One of the most important things to keep in mind is that thelarge balls of waterPrav throws at Frey need to betargeted and shot down with ranged projectile magic. This isn’t difficult to do, as the water balls can be destroyed by a single attack but they can be overwhelming at times. If these balls come into contact with Frey, they will deal a large amount of damage and can easily end the battle in Prav’s favor. Players will know when it’s time to target the water balls because Pravwill lift Frey into the airandrestrict her movement. In these moments, it is best to switch to Frey’s Purple magic (if it’s not already being used) and unleash a bevy of attacks in their direction.

Rewards For Defeating Tanta Prav

Once players have defeated Tanta Prav, they will gain access to herwater-based Blue magic. This magic does not deal quite as much damage at face value as Sila’s red magic, but there are times when the Blue attacks will be needed. Players will also gain the ability to use thewater traversal skillafter the fight. This means that when players are using parkour to run around the open world and come into contact with water, they can glide across it rather than swim. Frey will conjure a surfboard-like platform to ride threw the water at extremely high speeds.
