According to theUncut Gemsactor, Aniston kept her mouth wide open during the kissing scenes. He recalled telling her to keep them closed so as to not make the kiss more awkward than it already was. He shared withUSA Today:

‘For God’s sake, keep your mouth closed.’ It was so wide! Every time, she’d come with a big, wide mouth, and I’d be like, ‘Whoa-ho-ho-ho-ho, whoa! What are we doing?’

Aniston also shared about her experience filming the kissing scenes. She shared that she would ask him to apply beard oil to prep for their kissing scenes. During another interview withAP, Sandler shared that the scenes were made more awkward when his wife Jackie and children showed up on set.
