Final Fantasy Does Clive die moon

10Darker & More Serious Story

While Final Fantasy games have never stayed away from killing off characters, it’s rare to see so many major characters, including the main character, die throughout the story. In the opening flashback, we see everyone close to Clive killed either by the Empire or the Eikon battle between Ifrit and Phoenix.

The rest of Clvie’s story is full of heavy and difficult themes of slavery and the damage war can bring to a world. Clive and Jill’s backstories also carry a much heavier weight than just fixing the wrongs of their past, but coming to terms with the horrible things they’ve done to get where they are.

Torgal Looking At Clive And Ghost Looking At Jon

9Torgal & Ghost

Torgal is introduced as a small pup, much like Jon Snow’s direwolf, Ghost. Later in the game, it is revealed that Torgal is also a large, direwolf-like creature that Clive’s father brought down from the mountains in the north, similar to how Ghost is found and given to Jon.

Both of these giant wolves fight alongside their owners in any battle, with Torgal’s later reveal making him a direwolf in every way but name.

Cersei Lannister & Anabella Rosfield

8Anabella & Cersei

Anabella is shown early on that she is willing to do whatever it takes to have her children in power. After losing Joshua, she simply remarries and has another son to replace Joshua in her plans to be the mother of an emperor. Cersei does very similar things in Game Of Thrones.

Both of these mothers only care about one of their children leading and don’t care which child it is. Both of them are shown to move on after a child’s death, only to move their goal onto their next child.

Drogon & Bahamut Attacking A City

7Dion & Daenerys' Rage

Both Dion and Daenerys have a painful moment of betrayal that breakers them. Both hold family and honor high, and after both are taken away from them, they take to their dragons, either by riding or becoming one, and destroy a city full of people.

While Bahamut doesn’t breathe fire, his attack against the Crystalline Dominionis very similar to Daenerys' destruction of King’s Landing. Both have similar reasons to snap and respond in the same way, leading to the deaths of hundreds in their rage.

Sylvestre Lesage & Tywin Lannister

6The Lesages & Lannisters

The Lesage family is the head of the Empire, while the Lannister family takes control of the Iron Throne early into Game Of Thrones. Both families are led by the father, one who leads from the shadows, and the other, who is the ruler of the kingdom directly. Both of these men lead similarly, looking objectively for the best way to maintain power while also growing it.

While they seem to make the right decisions for their family, both men’s aspirations see their son turn against them, eventually leading to both being killed by that son’s hands.

5Valisthea & Westeros

The makeup of Valisthea and Westeros are incredibly similar, beginning with two large continents divided by a small sea. In both of these lands, the small gap of water between the continents is called “The Narrow.”

Both the events of Final Fantasy 16 and Game Of Thrones focus on the continent to the west, with the people from the east coming in later into the story to get involved in the growing conflicts.

4The Iron Islands & The Iron Kingdom

The Iron Islands and The Iron Kingdom are even more similar in design than their names are. Both comprise a group of islands that have created a water-faring society that sails to the nearby continent to engage in war.

WhileJill Warrickand Theon Greyjoy share a few similarities, their biggest is they are both a ward of their main stories' family. Each have connections to the Iron Islands and the Iron Kingdom, which drives them back there for their reasons.

3Joshua & Bran

Joshua and Bran have many clear similarities. Both are seemingly killed at the story’s beginning, only to come back in search of a new goal in life. Both of the complex stories they are a part of take place in war-filled continents, where they see the bigger picture and the true enemy rising in the shadows.

Each of them then helps guide the main characters to the bigger threat they have noticed and look beyond the established borders and treaties without a care of the ongoing wars. They also become targeted by their stories big bad and turn to their brother to help save the world.

2Ultima & The Night King

Ultima and The Night King have similar goals of world domination and lead an army of followers that look and act incredibly identical. Both Akashic people and White Walkers look awfully similar and follow their respective leaders as an army of zombie-like creatures.

Both of these characters have the ultimate goal of working in the background while the rest of the realms fight and wear themselves down before amassing an army to march on what remains. Both of these characters also focus on the main character’s younger brother in an attempt to use their power as their own to take over the world.

1Clive & Jon Snow

Clive and Jon’s similarities range from their looks to their goals and even the relationships they surround themselves with. Clive and Jon are the black sheep of the family, looked down on by their mother while being respected and loved by their father. They each have a good relationship with their uncle, who later comes in to help them in their time of need.

These characters fight with a large wolf by their side, each using aunique one-handed sword stylewith nothing in their offhand. They each deny the crown of their homeland, as their ultimate goals have them worrying about the whole world’s safety and not the legacy left behind by their killed fathers.
