Quite unsurprisingly,Dandadanhas once again proven why it’s so goated, delivering an episode that has unironically set a new standard for the romance genre in anime. Episode 11 started off on a lighthearted note, with the usual dose of humor that we’ve come to expect from the series. But little did we know, the tone was about to take dramatic turns, shifting gears from a high-octane chase scene to a wholesome romance later on.

Okarun looking at Momo and Jiji

Just when we thought things couldn’t get any better, the episode pulled out the unthinkable, delivering an emotional, and romantic conclusion that left fans in a state of awe. The subtle comedic moments, impressive animation, and intense action sequences were all overshadowed by the episode’s finale – a heartwarmingly romantic, feel-good ending!

The romance that no one ever expected!

Skipping straight tothe later half of the episode, viewers got to see one of the most suspenseful chase scenes ever between our main cast and a male anatomical model. But nobody expected the romance scene that came right after that. When Momo, Okarun, and Jiji finally caught the male human manikin model in a garbage dump, a female voice called out to him as “Taro”. The manikin screamed back “Hana,” and started searching for someone/something!

As Taro finally found Hana, we got to see that they were both anatomical manikin models, but were not just simply possessed by some spirits for evil-doings. The two turned out to be lovers! One can fairly assume they must have grown closer during the long time they spent at Okarun and Momo’s school, where theyhad secretly developed feelings for each other.

Theparallels between this love storyof Taro and Hana and Okarun’s own romance with Momo really struck the fans. The love expressed by those two manikin models for each other resounded with Okarun while he watched with a feeling of motivation. The episode really portrayed how true love can conquer everything, no matter how many worlds separated you are.

Fans are singing praises of Yukinobu Tatsu for this masterclass scene

The scene in which Okarun comes to the realization of his feelings thanks to the unlikely inspiration from two dissection anatomical models was simply mind-blowing. AuthorYukinobu Tatsu’sunique approach to such insane storytelling has brought him much acclaim, as fans have started calling him one of the best new-generation manga authors.

One major reason whyDandadanmanaged to become this successful is how easily Tatsu was able to transition between different genres. Shoujo romance, battle shounen action, comedic genius, everything was perfectly blended together to come up with this really special viewing experience.
