TheFalloutTV series on Amazon Prime hasbrought Postapocalyptia backto the lips of the entertainment world. It’s been more than eight years since the release of the last mainline game in the series,Fallout 4, was released, and since we’re probably going to have to wait for the next installment ofThe Elder ScrollsbeforeBethesdadrops Fallout 5 on us, the TV adaptation is going to have to hold fans over for a while.
While we’ve still got towait until April 11for the premiere of the small screen adaptation of this classic RPG series, its influence has already started to bleed into the real world. And, in true Fallout fashion, there seems to be factions ready to go to war over it.

My Favorite Bethesda Game Is Still Fallout 4
You can always rely on the Minutemen.
War Really Does Never Change
Somewhere in Los Angeles lies a city bus stop that’s been transformed through that classic ol' Hollywood magic into the iconic entrance of one ofthe Fallout series' classic vaults. Okay, taking the fun out of it, the bus stop is just an elaborate ad for the streaming series, but an image of it hit the internet a few days ago, and fans of the game series seem pretty enamored with it, so at least it’s working.
But if Fallout has taught us anything, it’s that you just can’t have anything nice without someone coming along and attempt to stick a flag on it to claim it for themselves. Enter the New California Republic.

In all seriousness, Reddit user BrickMacklin’s photo is pretty funny. “I cant help but laugh, imagining theres like a gang war over who has control of this singular bus stop,” wrote one person reacting to the image. “Dudes showing up in full cosplay trying to tear down the previous flag to hang theirs [.] Caesara (sic) legion shows up and starts putting people up on crosses, Brotherhood starts taking away peoples phones who are attempting to record the event as its ‘technology that shouldnt be in the hands of mere men’, minutemen tries to redirect everyone way to different settlements that needs their help, etc…”
That actually doesn’t sound too far-fetched. Even scrolling through the comments, a lot of Fallout fans are either pledging their allegiance to the NCR all over again or rallying against it, hoping for another faction to take over the bus stop. While the NCR made its debut inFallout 2, while the series was still a cRPG under the care of Interplay and Black Isle Studios, it’s probably more memorable in most players' minds as the law and order faction from Fallout New Vegas, but it had its share of the problems of democracy as well, and not everyone’s keen on the faction holding the real life landmark. “Idc what the NCR CLAIMS I AM NOT PAYING TAXES,” said one such person.

Fallout TV Show’s Lighting Is Compared To “25 Bucks” Capital One Commercial
The Fallout TV show’s most recent trailer has some fans thinking it looks “cheap” and likened it to a Capital One commercial.
Reviving The Love Of The Game
While we still need to wait just a few more days before we cansee all eight episodes of the Fallout TV show in all their glory(hopeful thoughts, people), the hype has really been a boost for Fallout’s presence, both online and in the real world. With any luck, Amazon’s series will be rekindling longtime Fallout players' love for the games and even bringing in fresh blood.
