Fairy Tail: 100 Years Queststarted in 2018 after the originalFairy Tailmanga ended. While Hiro Mashima is writing the story and doing layouts, the manga is drawn by another mangaka,Atsuo Ueda. Still, it’s considered a canon sequel.Fairy Tail 100 Years Questcurrently has 9 volumes out in Japan, and 8 volumes in USA. The series is published by Kodansha USA.
Fairy Tail 100 Years Questanime revealed, first teaser trailer
The Hiro Mashima fan meeting stream on YouTube announced the anime this September 11. You can find the trailer below at the 6:03:18 timestamp of the stream. The100 Years Questanime is coming as part of theFairy Tail15th anniversary celebrations.
Atsuo Ueda on Twitter also shared a special key visual with Natsu and co.Fairy Tail 100 Years Questhas no release date for now.
Fairy Tailis by far the biggest and most popular series byHiroMashima, so it’s definitely not a surprise to see its sequel is getting an anime as well. Right now, the anime for Mashima’s newest series,Edens Zero, is also ongoing. Hiro Mashima’s popularity isn’t waning anytime soon.
Moreover,Fairy Tailreceived aJRPG game adaptationby studio Gust and Koei Tecmo last year. Konami is also working on twoEdens Zerogame adaptations. One is coming to mobile,and the other to consoles.Edens Zero Pocket Galaxyis the title of the mobile game andpre-registrationis open. Meanwhile, we might hear more about the console game at Tokyo Game Show 2021, which is starting on September 30.
