Bleachhas some of the most complex yet intriguing styles of fighting including the use of bankai. From Byakuya Kuchiki’s Senbonzakura Kageyoshi and Shinji’s Sakashima Yokoshima Happōfusagari to Ichigo’s Tensa Zangetsu. They are visually artistic, mesmerizing, and most importantly; dangerously powerful. There are many who work hard and dedicatedly to achieve their bankai.

Tite Kubo’s skills allow not only a spectacle to look at but also a story to engross oneself in completely. There are many who can achieve their bankai, such is the case with how close their bond is to their Zanpakuto. At the same time, there are those who are unable to achieve the same. Aizen is the biggest example of the same. Although he wasn’t able to achieve that, his abilities did not make him feel like he was lacking one.
Shinji’s Bankai isn’t the Only One
Out of the most powerful bankai, there are many that stand out. At the same time, there are some that have been banned for the betterment of the Soul Society. Such was the case with Shinji’s bankai. When unleashing it, anyone around him, regardless of them being an ally or an enemy, would be affected by its powers. The bankai, Sakashima Yokoshima Happōfusagari, essentially renders their perception of direction in a sense of nihility.
Due to its significantly dangerous effects, all those who fight alongside him aren’t exempted from Shinji’s bankai’s power. As a result, it had been banned for the protection of the Soul Society. That, however, isn’t the only powerful bankai out there. Mayuri Kurotsuchi’s bankai is perhaps even more powerful than any other.

Bleach: Tite Kubo’s Unconventional Name for the Series Has a Deeper Meaning After He Almost Chose a ‘Boring’ Alternative
Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō is one of the strongest bankai inBleach, with its ability to paralyze any human and make any Soul Reaper difficult to even stand. The poisonous breath of the caterpillar-like creature is dangerous enough to make anyone shake in fear. However, it is its modified form that would be strong enough to defeat Aizen.
Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō: Matai Fukuin Shōtai – The Perfect Counter
Although Mayuri Kurotsuchi’s bankai sounds strong on its own, it is its modified form that is frightening and powerful enough to perhaps even take down Aizen on his own. Although Aizen doesn’t have a bankai for himself, his illusions are strong enough to make him one of the most dangerous villains inBleach. On the contrary, Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō: Matai Fukuin Shōtai gives Mayuri an ability stronger than most.
It incidentally creates a large purple creature, almost looking like a baby. This creature sits on a series of umbilical cords and has almost a deformed head. As interesting as the appearance sounds, it is the special abilities that come with it that might interest fans even more. This creature can summon modified versions of Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō.

These newly summoned beasts can then be fueled with information with regard to Mayuri’s opponents. Whether it is their abilities or fighting styles. All the information fed to them is later used to counter the abilities of these opponents, making it an almost unfair fight. That is to say, if Aizen were to go up against him, these modified versions could easily find a way to counter his illusions.
Bleachis available to watch on Crunchyroll.
