Shroud zone is a unique gameplay mechanic ofEnshroudedthat divides multiple areas of the game, and somehow slows down your progression until you’re able to increase your Flame level. The fact that staying in Shroud zones higher than your Flame level is deadly, makes players grind for the required materials.
Enshrouded: Where To Find Sulfur
Welcome to the wastelands!
Other than that, Shroud zones are also home to some unique materials that cannot be found anywhere else. As you enter higher-level Shroud zones, you will discover new materials that are required to craft new items and strengthen your Flame power.
How To Get Ammonia Gland
Ammonia Gland is one of the raw materials thatcan only be collected from theShroudzones of Level 4 and above, which includes theUmber Hollow, the massive Shroud zonesouth of Nomad HighlandsFast Travel Point. If you explore these Shroud zones well enough, you will come across somegiant moving mushrooms with red-glowing buttons on their body. You have already seen the green variant of these mushrooms in the lush forests of Revelwood, but the red variant can only be found inside Shroud zones.
Unlike the green variant, the red mushrooms are hostile, and they will start to chase you as soon as entering their radius. If you shoot at their red buttons, they will drop Ammonia Glandon the ground. Each mushroom has three red buttons on its body, which means you can collect three Ammonia Glands without even killing them. However, if you spend some more time and kill the mushroom, it will dropup to 6 additional Ammonia Glandsafter death, along with some Shroud Sacks.

Since these mushrooms can only release poisonous gas around themselves, killing them is quite easy. All you need to do is hit them with two quick sword attacks and then roll back before they deploy the gas. Repeat this until you drain the mushroom’s health bar.
