It’s been six years since the announcement ofElder Scrolls 6, but the highly-anticipated game still hangs in the balance. Bethesda and Todd Howard still haven’t confirmed a single detail about what players can expect in regards to the game’s setting or gameplay.

However, that hasn’t stopped rumors and speculation around the title, especially after a Bethesda employee’s Pinterest board linked to the setting we might see inElder Scrolls 6. While it’s great to see that Bethesda is returning to this location, it might attract the“woke”allegations.
Bethesda developer revealsElder Scrolls 6location via Pinterest
Ever since Bethesda and Todd Howard announced theElder Scrolls 6,gamers haven’t stopped speculating aboutits setting. One of the most popular theories suggests that the title might take us back to Hammerfell, a harsh and unforgiving land that was last seen in theElder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall. This was all due to the game’s announcement trailer, which showed a terrain similar to that of Hammerfell.

If that announcement wasn’t enough, one of the Bethesda employees, Ray Lederer, who has been a senior concept illustrator at the studio since 2008, might’ve accidentally confirmed that the game is set in Hammerfell. When his Pinterest board was still visible to the public, it showed various pieces of clothing showcasing those that might come from Hammerfell.
What all of these images have in common is that they feature people, art, architecture, and landscapes of North African and Middle Eastern cultures that were the inspirations behind Hammerfell andRedguards in theElder Scrolls franchise. Long-time fans of the franchise are already well aware of the origins of people from these lands.

However, newcomers toElder Scrolls 6, and particularly anti-woke pundits, will bash Bethesda and Howard for being“woke”because the game is set in a location that North African and Middle Eastern culture inspire. We’ve already seen such groupscausing the downfall of various popular games, so Bethesda must be careful.
