Tanith, the Lady of Volcano Manor, gives one ofElden Ring’s most sinister questlines. She asks you to enter her service and kill your fellow Tarnished in the name of the path of the true champion. As you progress her quest, you’ll uncover many horrifying secrets about the Manor and its strange inhabitants.

In this guide, we’ll take you through every step of Tanith’s murderous questline, let you know where to go, and what rewards you can gain from your deeds.
Beginning The Quest
To start Tanith’s quest, you just have to speak to her atVolcano Manor. It can be a difficult and dangerous journey, but we have acomplete guideon all of the different ways you can get there. However, when you arrive at the Manor, speak with Tanith, and when you get the dialogue option, select “Join Volcano Manor.” She will then give you theDrawing-Room Key. You can leave Tanith now and head right, down the hall, and open the Drawing-Room door on the left-hand side. This key will also open a number of other doors in this corridor, but you can ignore those for now.
Inside the Drawing-Room, you will find Rya and Knight Bernahl. On the table beside him are two items; on the left, theLetter From Volcano Manor, and on the right, aRecusant Finger. Read the Letter to initiate the first step of Tanith’s Quest. This will give you your target,Old Knight Istvan, and place a red marker on your map showing where to find him.
Old Knight Istvan
Your first assassination target is Old Knight Istvan, who you’re able to find inLimgraveby the Colosseum. The quickest way to get there is to use theWarmaster’s ShackSite Of Grace. When you are in the area of the red map marker, you will see a red invasion sign on the ground. Touch this and confirm you want to invade Old Knight Istvan’s world.
During the invasion, you will be limited to a small area of the map around the invasion point. Istvan wields a Curved Greatsword and will also use the Gravitas Ash Of War. This creates a large area effect around him that will deal damage and pull you towards him if it hits. He can also heal himself once.
Once you have defeated him, he will drop some Runes, a Rune Arc, a Furlcalling Finger Remedy, and his Armor set, theScaled Set. Return to Volcano Manor and speak to Tanith again, and she will reward you with theMagma ShotSorcery. Head to the Drawing-Room again, and there will be a new letter on the table. Read this to mark your next target,RileighThe Idle.

Rileigh The Idle
Rileighcan be found inAltus Plains. The quickest way to get to him is to start from theErdtree-Gazing HillSite Of Grace and then ride down and into the valley that leads to his mark on the map.
Rileighwill attack you with a Crossbow and a Dagger, both of which will inflict Scarlet Rot Buildup on hit. When he is defeated,Rileighwill drop some Runes, a Rune Arc, a Furlcalling Finger Remedy, a Talisman,Crepus’s Vial, which makes you move silently, and 20Black-Key Bolts,which inflict Scarlet Rot on hit.
Report back to Tanith, and she will reward you with theSerpentbone Blade, a Katana that inflicts poison, as well as share some information about the Manor and its Master. Return to the Drawing Room, where this time, you will find theRed Letteron the table, informing you of your final target,Juno Hoslow, Knight Of Blood.
Juno Hoslow, Knight Of Blood
Juno can be found inMountaintops Of The Giants. His invasion sign is just East of theShack Of the Lofty. The easiest way to get to him is to ride North and then West from theAncient Snow Valley RuinsSite Of Grace.
When you first invade him, Juno will performHoslow’s Oathgesture, allowing you to learn it. Hoslow wields two Whips, which can deal damage in a wide area and also inflict Blood Loss buildup. When you attack him, he will use Bloodhound’s Step to dash away and counterattack. He can also heal himself once.
When he is defeated, he will drop some Runes, a Rune Arc, a Furlcalling Finger Remedy,Hoslow’sPetal Whip, and his Armor set,Hoslow’s Set. Return to Tanith again, and this time she will give you aTaker’s Cameoas a reward. She will then ask you if you would like to meet the Lord of the Manor. Select “See the Lord” to progress.
Lord Rykard
Tanith will teleport you to theAudience PathwaySite Of Grace. To complete Tanith’s quest, you must confront and defeat the Boss,Rykard, Lord Of Blasphemy. We have acomprehensive guideto help you. Once you have defeated Rykard, return to Tanith at the Manor again for some final dialogue. Unfortunately, she has no more rewards to give, but you can see a final horrifying scene and dialogue if you return to Rykard’s Boss Room Site Of Grace.
