TheElden RingDLC is almost here, after one of the most excruciating waits in history. The amount of excitement and hype going around the title is nothing to be scoffed at, and the anticipatory sweats have only tripled after the previews of the game dropped.

From what we’ve gathered, there are a ton of new things to be excited to come across in yourShadow of the Erdtreejourney, with weapons being the most exciting. On that note, there’s one new weapon we can see that will quickly become a fan-favorite and make mincemeat of Messmer.
Take Note of This Weapon in the Elden Ring DLC
In previews of the new expansion, many new weapons were highlighted. With eight new categories of weapons and over 100 new weapon items, there is a lot to look forward to discovering.
These weapons behave differently from the base game, as IGN mentions, and this is very much to your advantage. One of the most unique weapons highlighted was the Heavy Smithscript Axe, which will undoubtedly be a great asset to many of you.

You can use the axe as an axe, of course, but the expansion turns it into a mini Leviathan—that’s right, you can throw the axe at your enemies. While there’s no swooping animation where it returns to your hand, you’ll have it back without having to go retrieve it.

Supposedly, you can throw the axe “without any sort of cost or resource tied to it.” This makes it a great choice of weapon to use for both close and mid-range combat.

There are a lot of theories about Messmer, but he’s assumed to use fire spells and a large spear in his boss fight. I don’t know about you, but all of that sounds like he’s got some attacks that have an overwhelming range.
The Heavy Smithscript Axe might be one of the best choices for this fight and other DLC bosses. Ultimately, it’s not solely the weapon, but what you make of it. Play whatever is the most fun for you!

We Are Not Ready for Shadow of the Erdtree
Back to the DLC in general, in all of the previews of the game that came tumbling out recently, one thing was clear; no one is ready for this masterpiece in the making.

The sheer ambiance of the expansion is beyond what was assumed before. With all of the hype surrounding it, there’s no doubt that the day of its release will be a monumental one for the gaming community.
FromSoftware games are known for their difficulty, and their harsh environments can discourage many from trying it out. However,Elden Ringis one of the easier titles to get into, and there’s no better time than now to give it a shot before the DLC’s release.
