Ashes Of Warare one of the new ideas presented inElden Ring. An Ash of War allows you to switch out the unique ability of a weapon and use a different ability to make weapons work better with your build. Some weapons have special skills, and an Ash of War can’t replace these skills, while other more basic weapons are blank slates for Ashes.
Elden Ring: How To Reach Volcano Manor
Elden Ring’s Volcano Manor can be reached in multiple ways. Whether by following Rya’s quest or taken by an Abductor Virgin, we’ve got you covered.
Some Ashes of War are used to build off further a technique or a skill that existed in previous Souls games, and no technique is bigger than parrying.Parrying is done by smaller or medium-sized shieldsand can leave unsuspecting enemies open to massive counter-attacks. The Golden Parry Ash of War takes this technique and makes it even more deadly.

Where To Find The Golden Parry Ash Of War
This Ash Of War can be found later in the game when youreach the capital’s outskirts. Starting from theOutwall Phantom Tree site of grace, continue north and up the massive stairs ahead of you. Fight or ride torrent past the enemy until you come to anothersmall golden tree with a Golden Seedat its base.
After collecting the golden seed, turn to the right and continue to head upthe next massive set of stairs. Along these stairs will be a few small groups of weak soldiers; they can be quickly dispatched or easily ridden past. Move along theleft side of the stairsuntil you see ascarab along the upper section. To reach this area, head further up the stairs until you’re able tojump to the platformed area. At the top will be another group of soldiers, but they can be ignored as you jump over the railing to the left. Now, back up to the top to where the scarab was. Afterlocating the scarab, kill it, and collect the Ash Of War: Golden Parry.

How To Use The Golden Parry Ash Of War
Ashes of War can only be equipped onone weapon at a time. Should you want to move this Ash to a different weapon, unequip the Ash, and it will be available for the next weapon. This Ash of War can only be applied tosmall and medium shieldsthat can normally parry. This action acts very similarly to a usual parry at a close range.
What makes thisAsh of War so greatis its arching golden light thatextends the range of your parry ability. While the range isn’t moderate, it helps youkeep your distancefrom your enemy while trying to open them up to attack. This parry has thesame effect of stunningand opening your enemy up for a critical hit for both ranged and up close connections. To properly use this Ash, you will still have to time your parries as usual, but the added distancegives players more room for error.
