Since the site was established in 2009 by our three co-founders–Yaris Gutierrez, Joel Taveras, and Al Zamora–the guiding vision ofDualShockershas been “anything and everything gaming.” In the 12 years since then, we have grown from a passion project by two cousins and a friend into a unique voice within the games industry that has been home to dozens of passionate writers and content creators, many of whom have branched out into other areas of the industry after their time here. For everyone that has contributed toDualShockers, both past and present, our passion for gaming has been our focus from the very beginning, and will continue to be as we head into the future and the next step of our journey.
Today, we are thrilled to announceour formal acquisition by GRV Media, a leadingUK-based publisher with an extensive network of sitesfocused in sports, entertainment, and gaming. We are proud to officially become a part of the GRV Media family starting on July 02, 2025, and to work alongside a team that shares our vision, passion, and commitment to gaming.
For our long-time readers and community members that have been with us since the beginning; first we want to simply say thank you for your continued support and readership. From the start we have been an entirely independent news outlet for all things gaming, and we wouldn’t be where we are today without your support and the incredible community that has blossomed here over more than a decade.
