If you want to make it to Sacred Arbor (Home Of The Elves) in DD2, you will need to know Elvish. Here’s how you’re able to make sure you know the language.
One character that you can meet in the game is Wilhelmina. She is the owner of the Rose Chateau Borderlie in Vernworth, and is one of the NPCs that will help you out in the city. She is also one of the only two romance options in the game. Here’s how you can lock in a romance with her.

Who Is Wilhelmina?
Wilhelmina is the owner of the Rose Château Bordelrie, which is the brothel that the nobles find themselves in all too often. She is known as Lady Wilhelmina around Vernworth and is extremely popular and powerful. She is a character who truly wants what she wants and will get whatever that is. She is independent and won’t take anything anyone says at face value.
How To Romance Wilhelmina
In order to romance Wilhelmina, you will need to completetwo main questsand an optional quest where you help her out. After finishing her quest, Every Rose Has Its Thorns, you will be able to romance her. Here’s a list of all the quests you need to complete:
For the Stolen Throne quest, you will need to attend a masquerade ball. At the end of the quest, Wilhelmina will help you hide from the guards before sending you on your way. In An Unsettling Encounter quest, you will need to sneak into Allard’s Chambers in the castle and obtain the Battahli-Crested Letter. Once you sneak out of his chambers, Wilhelmina will meet you in the courtyard and help you hide from the guards again. Finally, the last quest requires that you help Wilhelmina kill Allard.
Throughout the time that you are getting to know Wilhelmina, give her gifts. Her NPC Logbook entry says she likes Adorable and Beautiful Items. You can give her things like flowers to increase her affinity towards you.
Every Rose Has Its Thorns Quest Walkthrough
In order to start this quest, you will need to finish the quests Stolen Throne and An Unsettling Encounter. Once you finish those, wait a few days and visit Wilhelmina again.Her workers will tell you that she is with a client, and you can use the picture frame in her room to spy on her. You will find her talking to Allard, and once he leaves, she will tell you she knows you’re there and to come in. She will then tell you that the entire reason she is in Vernworth is to kill Allard, and she needs your help to pull it off.
This is a timed quest. You will only have three days to complete it before Wilhelmina kills Allard without evidence.
How To Get Evidence Against Allard
to get evidence against Allard, you will want to head to his house.This is the house that is right beside the Rose Château Bordelrie. Once inside, head up to the second floor and enter the room directly at the top of the stairs. Inside this room, you will see a picture hanging above a desk to your left. If you interact with this picture, the evidence against Allard will fall onto the desk.If you take this to Wilhelmina, she will be able to use it against him.
What Happens To Allard?
Once you give the evidence to Wilhelmina, she will summon Allard and send you in to hold him down while she speaks to him.She will admit that her parents were killed by him when she was a newborn, and she was extremely lucky to escape from the situation unharmed. When she tells him this, she is wearing the mask of a Beastren, who she claims is her mother. After Allard tells her that she cannot be the child of a Beastren, she will show the eye she always has covered by her hair, the eye of a Beastren.She will then kill Allard before asking you to escape separately and meet her the next day.
How To Find Wilhelmina After Her Quest
After the events with Allard unfold, Wilhelmina will ask you to meet with her. Once you meet her the next day, your romance scene with her will commence. She will then tell you that she has to leave the city.After this encounter, you will not see her again during the game. If she is somewhere in the game, we have yet to find her after this point. Unfortunately, we will just have to wait and see if she makes a return for a DLC later on down the line.
