The Arisen’s Shadow is a quest you’ll pick up while working with Captain Brant in Vernworth. Someone is following your every move, but they’re pretty good about sticking to the shadows. If you want to find this stalker, you’ll need to keep an eye on your surroundings at all times.

How To Find The Arisen’s Shadow
The quest will tell you to confront the person following you. In order to find them, you’ll want to take a good look around.They’re a hooded figure that will move away from you if you get too close.The hooded figure will usually give themselves away by running, which isn’t something any other NPC in the area would do.Occasionally, if you get too close or if their path intersects with your own, they’ll say “you” before running again.
It’s harder to notice this person at night, so we suggest doing this quest during the day. The bright atmosphere will make it harder for them to go unnoticed as they run around.
The quest simply says to confront the stalker, but it doesn’t say how. Talking to the man isn’t the answer, but outright attacking him isn’t the way either.Instead, you’ll need to run up close and use your grab attack.You’ll tackle the man to the ground, which will trigger a cutscene.
The man will ask you to let him go. You’ll have the option to refuse or ask for a bribe.If you refuse, he will attack you.Since you likely have a full party of Pawns with you, this isn’t a difficult fight.After a brief scuffle, Captain Brant and his guards will appear to arrest the man.Once taken into custody, Captain Brant will ask that you give him a few days with the man to figure out his intentions.
Wait several days and meet Captain Brant at the tavern as usual.Captain Brant will tell you the man is a spy from a neighboring nation and give you a reward for assisting him in catching the man.
