Yuki Tabata, much like any other mangaka, has seen his drawing style change and evolve over the course ofBlack Clover’srun. The more one gets used to drawing the characters, the more refined they become. The art of drawing manga comes with various tools that only start with a simple pen and paper. The various drawing tools that an artist may be extremely familiar with help elevate almost any manga.

The art ofBlack Cloverhas also seen changes from the first chapter to where it is now. The evolution it has gone through can confuse many because of just how drastic the shift seems. Moreover, it can lead to people unnecessarily pointing fingers and accusing Tabata of something he did not even do.
Yuki Tabata’s Method of Drawing Black Clover
Yuki Tabatahas been known for years now for using the classic method of drawing manga. Each of those illustrations is hand drawn as far as fans are aware. However, with how much his art has changed throughout the years, many begin to wonder if it is really all him or if he is taking assistance from digital tools.
Some people went so far as to accuse the mangaka (viaX) of using digital tools to drawBlack Clover. It was a blatant attack on his integrity as someone who openly talked about how he stuck to the traditional methods of drawing rather than conforming to the up-and-coming technological age. While it may make the lives of mangakas much easier, the joy that comes with hand-drawn manga is simply irreplaceable.

Every Black Clover Fan Agrees 1 Villain Yuki Tabata Created is a “Total piece of sh*t”
To point a finger against him, accusing him of something so utterly bizarre, was a direct sign of the fan’s lack of research. Not only did they mistake Tabata for another contemporary artist with the same last name; but they also very confidently tried to pull the mangaka down for all his credibility.
Is Modern Technology So Bad?
While many may not be happy if Yuki Tabata were to switch to a more digital method of drawingBlack Clover, there is nothing increasingly wrong about it either. In most cases, technology helps make one’s life simpler. Calling him out and shunning him for using digital tools would be like getting angry at a traditional manga writer for not using a brush and ink to draw.
It isn’t wrong to use modern tools to draw, not by any means. Digital artists have their own fame and they put in just as much effort to get their desired piece. Digital means of making art have helped many artists improve their works in ways they couldn’t have imagined. For manga, something like that acts as a bigger help than fans realize.

Using modern tools isn’t wrong, not when used properly. While Tabata doesn’t seem like someone who would do so, even if he does, it wouldn’t be so bad. The amount of effort does not decrease and neither does the skill put into it.
Black Cloveris available to read on Viz Media.
