Bandai Namco announcedBudokai Tenkaichi 4last year, bringing the long-awaited return to this saga of 3D fighting games. Later, the company decided to go for the Japanese original name,Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero.
Yesterday, the unveiling of the gameplay, featuring a full battle between Vegeta and Goku, heightened fans’ excitement for the game. But this was not the only thing that Bandai Namco showed; there was also a new character trailer with eleven new fighters joining the rooster.

Fans ofDragon Ballcould literally not be more excited. Bandai Namco has hit a home run with the gameplay showcase ofDragon Ball Sparking! Zero. This incredibly new fast paced combat is all that the original franchise knows how to make. You can teleport, dash really fast, and transform mid-battle—all things that fans really wanted in this game. The Goku and Vegeta fight that Bandai Namco showed was impressive, with destructible scenarios and clothes that even took battle damage.
New Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero Trailer Proves Goku and Vegeta’s Rivalry Never Ends
After the gameplay ended, Bandai Namco revealed eleven new playable characters that will be available inDragon Ball Sparking! Zero. The fighters introduced in the trailer are from several parts ofDragon Ball, including Super and Z. The complete list is: Super Trunks, Master Roshi, Max Power, Nappa, Burter, Jeice, Super Saiyan Broly (Full Power), Hit, Super Saiyan Kale (Berserk), Toppo, Dyspo, and Kakunsa. Many of these fighters will undergo transformations that fans could make in the battle.
The future is bright for Dragon Ball fans
These characters are a blend of variousDragon Ballsagas, such as the Frieza saga, which features members of the Ginyu Force, and Super, which features two fighters from the Pride Troopers universe, Toppo and Dyspo.
#Other fighters from the Tournament of Power, like Kale, are part of the new rooster.Dragon Ball Sparking! Zerowill change everything for this franchise. Spike Chunsoft and Bandai Namco are saying that this will be the most ambitiousDragon Ballgame ever.
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero May Have the Biggest Roster of Any Fighting Game Ever
Bandai Namco has not yet confirmed a release date. Some rumors suggest thatDragon Ball Sparking! Zerowill release this year, while others predict its launch in 2025. The game will be available on PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC.
Players are really hoping that this game comes this year and that Bandai Namco didn’t make all too many possible fighters as DLC, but this will definitely happen with some particular characters. There are more than 160 playable characters; this will change things for fighting games.
