As we approach the release of Season 17 forDestiny 2later this week, Bungie has finally confirmed the official start time details and more.
Although the latest’This Week At Bungie' blog postdived into some of the big changes coming toDestiny 2, fans are still waiting to find out what the name of the upcoming season is. Bungie currently refers to Season 17 as ‘Season of the [REDACTED]. But with only a few days left to go until launch, a trailer and official name will likely arrive in the coming days.
However, thanks to the release of the server maintenance schedule, we’ve got the official release date and start time forDestiny 2Season 17.
Destiny 2 Season 17 Update Release Date and Start Time
As confirmed by Bungie in a recent blog post, the official release date forDestiny 2Season 17 isTuesday, May 24th, 2022. The start time for the new season has also been announced along with the full server maintenance schedule.
Destiny 2will be brought offline for a brief period of time on Tuesday before update 4.1.0 is deployed at10AM PT / 1PM ET / 6PM BST. Background maintenance will continue for a further hour after the launch of Season 17, which means players may experience connectivity issues when signing in toDestiny 2.
Destiny 2 New Dungeon Release Date, Time, and Recommended Power Details
Following the launch ofDestiny 2Season 17, fans can expect a brand new dungeon to arrive onFriday, May 27th, 2022at10AM PT / 1PM ET / 6PM BST.
According to Bungie, the recommended power level for the normal difficulty is going to be 1550, whilst the recommended power level for master difficulty will be announced later in the week in-game.
