How To Unlock Cosplay Feature
The cosplay feature is not readily available from the get go, and it requires you to progress through the story until youunlock and complete the “Call the Cavalry” mission.Since Call the Cavalry is the fourth mission in the story, you won’t have to wait too long to unlock the cosplay features.
The mission begins with getting familiar with the workbench andweapon mods, and eventually culminates into informing the authorities that you’re immune to the zombie virus.
How To View & Change Slayer Outfits
Although you are now eligible to change your character’s outfit,you cannot do so while in the middle of a mission.Changing your character’s outfit requires quitting to the main menu andscrolling down to the Extras menu. Within this menu, you should see anew sub-menu called Cosplay. Here, you can choose and equip your character with the available outfits.
If you want to change the outfit for every Slayer in your game, you must first select the Slayer from the main menu and then outfit them with new cosmetics in the cosplay section.
If you find the cosplay menu grayed out for a particular Slayer,it simply means that you need to complete the tutorial while playing as that Slayer.However, you’ll still need to complete the ‘Call the Cavalry’ mission with at least one Slayer.
Dead Island 2 alreadyincludes a set of free outfits for all six Slayers as part of the ‘Til Dawn’ collection DLC.However, if you’re interested in expanding your collection of cosmetics further,you’ll need to purchase the HELL-A Catwalk character pack.
Since Dead Island 2 is a first-person game,the outfits you equip your character with are only visible to other players whenplaying in co-op.The only way you can view your character’s outfit is through the cosplay menu.
