Positive quirks inDarkest Dungeon 2can feel like a minor point to the game. Some positive quirks will only offer minor, ignorable benefits, but other quirks are powerful enough to transform your heroes into un-killable, dungeon-adventuring machines.

In addition to knowing which positive quirks will be the most beneficial for your heroes, you should also know which positivequirks to lock in at the Field Hospital. In the meantime, this guide will discuss all the positive quirks in the game and which ones are worth locking.

How To Gain Quirks

Each Hero begins the game with one positive quirk and one negative quirk. From that point onwardthere are only three ways to gain quirks — the Academic Study, randomly after using an Inn Item, and visiting the Inn itself.

While visiting the Inn will randomize both when it gives you a quirk and what quirks it gives you,Inn Items and the Academic Study will draw from specific pools of quirks it can give your heroes. For example, if you use the Inn item Holy Beads, it can give you 1 of 4 positive quirks or 1 of 3 negative quirks. If you’re hoping to get a specific quirk, repeatedly using the Inn item associated with that quirk, or visiting the Academic Study and only interacting with it when it’s an event that will give your hero the quirk you want will be the best way to gain a quirk that’s worth locking.

All Positive Quirks In Darkest Dungeon 2

As the name suggests, positive quirks usually give some form of benefit to having them.Unlike negative quirks, there’s no option to get rid of them besides using a Wild Tea Inn Item. However, players have the option to lock positive quirks so they can’t be replaced.

Be careful with locking quirks since you can only lock one positive quirk, and it is almost impossible to get rid of it once a quirk is locked.

This is particularly important if you plan on collecting memories on a Hero sinceHeroes who survive your runs and have a memory purchased for them will keep all of their quirks for future runs (along with the quirk’s locked status).
