Marvel fans have finally claimed a victory in their reboot escapades. After cameos in Spiderman: No Way Home andShe-Hulkintroducing him to the MCU and over six years after his standalone show ended,Daredevilis returning just as blind and bloody as ever. Marvel officially released the trailer for Daredevil’s return, now titled Daredevil: Born Again, coming to Disney+ this March.
The two-minute trailer teases a whole new Hell’s Kitchen, a whole new Matt Murdock, and more. Most importantly, though, fans get a look at some new and familiar faces that are expected to be reprised or just play a big role in the MCU Daredevil.

7Matthew Murdock/Daredevil
No better place to start than the return of the sharp lawyer by day, and the broken but deadly Devil of Hell’s Kitchen by night. Charlie Cox returns to reprise his biggest role as the titular Matthew Murdock in what seems to be a different man than seen prior. The trailer for Born Again kicks off with Murdock having a coffee in a diner with the man fans last saw Daredevil nearly kill to end season three, immediately presenting a very different Hell’s Kitchen in the years away.
The big shock from the trailer that fans will hopefully learn more about once the season drops,Matt Murdock has stopped being Daredevilfor a significant amount of time aftercrossing a linethat fans will likely get to see in flashbacks. In that time, Matt Murdock has seemingly seen big success with his law firm, but something will pull him back to the mask. A couple of shots from the trailer show classic Daredevil hand-to-hand combat and even a flurry of new masks of different colors. Matthew Murdock went through a lot before his return, and he might not have finally gotten rid of his violent alter ego.

6Wilson Fisk/Kingpin
As alluded to previously,Wilson Fiskis spotted at the start of the trailer during his sit-down with Matthew Murdock. Vincent D’Onofrio returns to reprise his role, but notably from the trailer, has also moved on from his darker persona, Kingpin, at least in the time since we’ve seen him. Fisk still brings that similar level of fancy style with a notably slimmer figure and a new job in politics asthe Mayor of New York.
Fisk debuted in the MCU during the Hawkeye series when he began his now likely successful play for the mayoral office, making Murdock uneasy of his intentions once more, possibly alluding to the reason viewers may see Matt Murdock back as Daredevil. Fisk isn’t all clean himself, as some of the trailer fight scenes include Fisk’s typical brutality and overall brute strength. It is cool to see Marvel have still captured the deceptive nature of both Murdock and Fisk and are leaning into it for the show’s return.

5Frank Castle/The Punisher
A fan-favorite casting across all Marvel media, the Daredevil: Born Again trailerconfirmed thatJon Bernthal isreturning as The Punisher. Bernthal’s performance as the broken Castle was such a fan-favorite from the original three seasons of Daredevil he earned his own spinoff show that ran for a couple of years until its cancelation in 2019.
Castle’s screen time in the Born Again trailer is short-lived, andlittle is knownabout where The Punisher has been during the time off. Castle’s motivations in the return of the Daredevil series are relatively unknown, especially since he was able to avenge his family during his solo time. Regardless, with the current state of New York city in the MCU on top of Fisk’s rise once more, it wouldn’t be surprising to see an all-time Punisher and Daredevil team up.

4Foggy Nelson and Karen Page
Keeping the returning cast ball rolling, the Born Again trailer also confirmed the return of Matthew Murdock’s two best friends and partners in the wide world of defense law, Foggy Nelson and Karen Page. Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll will reprise their respective characters to solidify the likely continued struggle of Matt Murdock returning to his life as a vigilante and fighting crime through the courts as a respected lawyer.
The only shots we get of the pair from the trailer include the trio walking down a city sidewalk dressed fancier than we’ve ever seen them, seemingly smiley and happy. Page also makes a quick solo appearance looking disgruntled in a packed courtroom, which does tell a lot considering she herself struggled with the idea of fighting crime “the right way” versus the “Daredevil way” in the past seasons.

3Benjamin Pointdexter/Bullseye
One of Daredevil’s other recurring villains from the comics, Bullseye, also got a split-second cameo in the Born Again trailer.Wilson Bethel will continue to play Benjamin Pointdexter aka Bullseye, the unhinged contract killer that terrorized Murdock in the final season of Daredevil before ultimately being bested in a fight and arrested. Bullseye’s tease is perfect, with a quick shot of him in a prison orange jumpsuit and heavy handcuffs being escorted by multiple full swat-gear guards.
Pointdexter was originally blackmailed and further manipulated by Wilson Fisk previously in the show, and with Kingpin seemingly back in a powerful position, it is yet to be seen if he’ll be taken out of incarceration to continue doing his bidding.
2White Tiger
With a ton of familiar Daredevil villains returning in the Born Again series, it is only fitting that Marvel throws a potential additional ally Murdock’s way. A lesser-known but classic New York Marvel hero, the White Tiger, is officially coming to the live-action MCUafter an appearance in the Daredevil trailer. Played by the late Kamar de los Reyes, the White Tiger is a Puerto Rico-born hero who utilizes the powers of Jade Tiger amulets to gain superhuman strength and agility.
The White Tiger is seen putting on his mask for a short few seconds in the trailer, butleaks from the set during filmingunfortunately already confirmed his new role in Daredevil and the MCU. That scene showed a tense scene with the Punisher likely based off the outfits seen, but outside of that little is known how White Tiger will play into the series.
1Daniel Blade Played By Michael Gandolfini
A more under-the-radar addition to the cast that is catching headlines from the trailer is Michael Gandolfini’s introduction to the MCU.Son of the late and great James Gandolfini aka Tony Sporano.Michael will play Daniel Blade, a character Marvel has been tight-lipped about in Daredevil and the MCU in general. There has been aton of speculationabout his role in the series after flashing across the screen in the trailer, including ideas like being on trial and a far-fetched idea of his character tying into a Blade reboot only based on his character’s last name.
