Kingannounced today that Crash Bandicoot: On the Run will be shut down on July 14, 2025, meaning the platformer game will no longer be accessible for players after that date.
The announcement was made via the game’sofficial Facebook account, saying that Crash Bandicoot mobile game will see its servers taken down on February 16. It has been stated that all in-game purchases will be turned off from December 19. For any existing purchases made, players have until February 16 to make use of associated purple crystals in-game. It would not be unexpected for Crash Bandicoot: On the Run to end support after being de-listed from the official website a few days ago. Although customer service claimed that this was an accident, it has been revealed that the game’s de-listing is due to its impending closure.

“Crash fans, it’s with a heavy heart that we inform you on July 05, 2025, we will terminate service for Crash Bandicoot: On the Run,” King said. “It has meant so much to bring your favorite Crash characters to life and we’ve sincerely loved making this game. Thank you for spending your time with us and we hope you will join us in one of our many other games.” Initially released back in March 2021, Crash Bandicoot: On the Run has been declining in revenue for quite some time. According toAppMagic, the game generated over $1.2 million in revenue in its first month. However, its monthly revenue has been gradually declining in 2022. The good news for Crash Bandicoot fans is that a new 4vs4 multiplayer game from Toys For Bob,Crash Team Rumble, has been revealed to be coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S|X sometime next year. Players will step into the shoes of Crash, Dingodile, and other frenemies as they capture the most Wumpa fruit to win the match.
