Call of Dutyhas been around for quite some time and the gaming community has noticed a steady decline in quality. The core gameplay remains relatively the same with some improvements in each game but the fans are upset with how the recent entries have weaker campaigns.

The gaming community is more interested in the multiplayer aspect which is no secret but Activision should still give the campaign the same amount of effort. It is upsetting that game developers often overlook the one aspect that players can fully enjoy on their lonesome.
Call of Duty Fans Are Not Happy With the State of the Campaigns
There has been a steady decline in quality throughout recent entries of the franchise and it is quite noticeable. Earlier titles all had exceptional narratives and the same could be said with succeeding sequels but the more modern games have taken a hit and the fans are fed up with cannon fodder content.

Details of adeleted end credits scene during the finaleof the originalModern Warfaretrilogy have resurfaced and it could have opened more doors of opportunities if Activision Blizzard chose to continue it but ultimately ended it there and omitted the scene. Perhaps the success of another sequel could have saved the franchise from the mediocre stories that players are dealing with today.

The length of the final part of the remakeModern Warfaretrilogy was so short that it is laughable and fans could already tell that the developers are barely making any effort to keep the story interesting.
It is unsurprising since Activision Blizzard is making a profit from in-game microtransactions and notoriety for the competitive gameplay, but it wouldn’t hurt to remember where the franchise had its humble beginnings.

Activision Blizzard Should Focus on Single-Player Call of Duty Content
Activision Blizzard is not numb and can clearly hear the complaints of the gaming community but that is not an assurance of the developers making an effort. However, recent rumors about this year’s entry involve the return of Raul Menendez, an iconic antagonist from theBlack Opssaga, and not everyone is happy about it.

The live service aspect is not everyone’s cup of tea and there are players who prefer to play alone and enjoy a good story with the traditional gunplay and combat. Recent entries have tackled more ambitious ideas that involve futuristic themes but it does not hold the candle to what the earlier titles have achieved.
Developers should equally divide their resources and manpower so as not to forsake other content. It may be difficult to do so but it is a solution, the gaming community yearns for the day that Activision can get back in the game and deliver a satisfying campaign.

The older titles were epic and had that feeling of entertainment that modern titles do not. The fancy bells and whistles won’t save the game from backlash, the graphics can only do so much if it isn’t giving what the players are after.
