Weapon selection can be an important factor when facing the many difficult challenges and bosses throughoutClair Obscur: Expedition 33. The starting protagonist and team leader, Gustave, primarily utilizes swords and physical damage to defeat his enemies, but several swords throughout the game also have additional capabilities.

Cruleram additionally has attribute scalers for Defense and Luck, increasing Gustave’s damage resistance and critical hit chance.
5Abysseram
A Blade Forged In Abyssal Depths
Abysseramis a sword which many players might have missed the first time around, but it is one of the strongest early-game weapons and will make Gustave’s life a lot easier in Act 1.

The upgraded version of Sakaram can also be unlocked bycompleting the Gestral Village Arena, giving the sword an additional 53 damage.
A Ruthless And Demonic Elemental Blade
Demonamis a missable item but one which is well worth seeking out. Overall, it is one of the best blades available to Gustave in the game and is significantly stronger than any of the prior swords mentioned.
With 163 Power, along with Light element damage and attribute scalers to both Defence and Agility, Demonam strengthens Gustave in a very particular manner.

It’s a costume party.
The thing is, up to this point, there are barely any light-aspected skills, if any at all. So, if you want to exploit any enemy weak to Light, you must rely on weapons such as Demonam, or the next one.
Be aware, however, that the Lampmaster at the end of Act 1 has a resistance to Light damage, so it might be worth swapping for another weaponbefore this pivotal boss fight.
The Ultimate Sword For Gustave
Delaramis easily the most potent weapon Gustave can acquire, though unlocking it is not quite as simple as many of the other swords.
