Charlie Cox is all set to reprise his role as Matt Murdock a.k.a Daredevil in the upcoming Disney Plus seriesDaredevil: Born Again. The show was initially supposed to have an eighteen-episode first season but a creative overhaul occurred after Marvel president Kevin Feige was reportedly disappointed with the initial footage of the series.
Now, the series has received different directors and showrunners, with filming set to resume in the coming days after a long break due to the WAG and SAG-AFTRA strikes and the creative overhaul. Charlie Cox reprised his role as Daredevil in the recently released miniseriesEcho, which starred Alaqua Cox in the lead role. While D’Onofrio had a larger role in the show, Charlie Cox appeared in a flashback sequence which indicated that Daredevil and Echo had a past when she used to work for Fisk. “It was all thought out to make sure that fans of the Netflix series could still enjoy this series. We’re all fans of the Netflix series and all of the series that came about from that time, too. And we wanted to honor it and make sure that, you know, fans felt like that was a part of this story, but not in any way that you needed to know that stuff.”
The post-credits scene also seemed to set upDaredevil: Born Againas it is indicated that Wilson Fisk hopes to run for Mayor in the upcoming mayoral election in New York.

He let go of the head writers Chris Ord and Matt Corman and replaced the directors as well. Dario Scarpdane ofThe Punisherwas hired as showrunner and the directors ofMoonknightwere hired to helm the series.
Though other characters such as Foggy Nelson and Karen Page were not included in the show, they were re-written into the show after the overhaul, with original actors Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Hensen reprising their roles. Jon Bernthal, who played Frank Castle in the Netflix series and inThe Punisherwas also confirmed to return.
The Hollywood Reporterstated that filming for the series would restart in the coming weeks and that Marvel was developing more shows based on the Netflix characters.
