Call of Duty: Black Ops 6keeps breaking records. After topping theOctober video game sales figures, the game’s official X, formerly known as Twitter, account announced thatBlack Ops 6is #1 for players, hours played, and matches in franchise history for the 30-day launch period.
As part of their thanks, developer Treyarch announced a double XP weekend starting Wednesday, November 27th. That double XP weekend will coincide with the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States, meaning even more players will be free to hop online and play some games.

The popular FPS also helped increase video game subscription spending by 16% year over year.

Black Ops 6director Mike Leslie even said thegame’s inclusion in Game Pass helped boost player numbers. “What we’ve seen is it’s allowed people that might have been on the fence, might have had some of that friction, might have been like, ‘I haven’t played in a while’ to actually come back and try the game.”
