Equipment is often overlooked inCall of Duty, but it is a very important tool in your loadout.By default, you get one Tactical Equipment, designed to help you get kills, and one Lethal Equipment, designed to kill.

Sure, you could get kills with one of themany primary and secondary weapons, but what if the enemy is behind cover? What if there are several enemies? What if the enemy is behind you? This is where equipment comes in.

Black Ops 6 Drill Charge

You can then use the Danger Close wildcard to get an extra Lethal, or the Tactical Expert to get two extra pieces of Tactical Equipment. The Quartermaster Perk can also be used to recharge your equipment over time.

Now, all you need to know is what the best equipment is.

Black Ops 6 Smoke Equipment

10Drill Charge

A Camper’s Kryptonite

Equipment Type

Level Unlocked

This Lethal Equipment sticks to surfaces before depositing an explosive on the other side, if possible.

The Drill Charge is great for clearing people out of corners or from behind cover. However, it’s easy to hear coming, slow to drill through surfaces, and sometimes doesn’t want to work, meaning the threat of the explosion will often be more effective than the explosion itself.

Black Ops 6 Scorestreaks

The threat is a strong one and will most likely make the enemy run out of their hiding spot. If not, it’s an easy kill or will at least severely hurt them if they’re using Flak Jacket.

How Do You Hit What You Can’t See?

This classic Tactical Equipment creates a cloud of smoke, which can be helpful when using close-quarters weapons like shotguns and SMGs or to conceal your location when moving around the map.

Thermal sights can see enemies through smoke, given they don’t have the Cold Blooded perk, so using them together can be an effective tactic. Of course, be prepared for your enemies to switch to Cold Blooded in the middle of the game if that’s your strategy.

Black Ops 6 Prox Alarm

This Tactical can also buy you time when capturing objectives andplanting or defusing bombs in Search and Destroysince the enemy won’t know your exact location.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6: Best Scorestreaks Ranked

There are over a dozen scorestreaks in Black Ops 6, but not all of them are created equal.

8Prox Alarm

The Eyes In The Back Of Your Head

It’s hard not to get flanked in Black Ops 6. There are few places where you can’t be attacked from multiple angles. This tactical equipment will help prevent that.

When enemies get close to this equipment, it makes a sound, and you get a ping on your minimap indicating which Prox Alarm was triggered.

Black Ops 6 Blast Trap

However, the frequently used Ghost perk makes one immune to triggering Prox Alarms, so you may occasionally get flanked when using it.

This Tactical can also be used aggressively to get an idea of which hot spots on the map currently have enemy activity or when enemies are pushing toward objectives. Now, who is flanking who?

7Blast Trap

While the days of Claymore and Bouncing Betty spam have come to a pass, the similar Blast Traps andSpring Mines take their place.

The Blast Trap Lethal Equipment is self-explanatory, being a trap that explodes, perfect for guarding flanks. However, unlike similar traps from Call of Duty’s past, the Blast Trap can be placed on walls as well, allowing for more creativity with its placement.

The downside of this Equipment is that it takes nearly a whole second to explode, meaning enemies will often run right past them unharmed. Flak Jacket can also prevent the trap from killing flaking enemies.

6Concussion

A Headache In A Can

Always Unlocked

This classic Tactical Equipment stuns enemies, temporarily creating a disorienting visual effect and severely lowering their sensitivity. This can be very strong if combined with horizontal movement, as the enemy likely won’t be able to keep up with you.

This Equipment is also helpful for figuring out where enemies are, as it has a short fuse, and its large blast radius will give you a hit marker if any enemies are in its vicinity when it goes off. Just throw it in a room, and if you get a hit marker, you know where enemies are.

The Tac Mask perk reduces the disorienting effects but doesn’t eliminate them, so don’t assume you can run circles around every enemy.

That’s A Big Boom

This Lethal Equipment can be thrown a short distance or stuck on walls, and is remotely detonated whenever you feel like it. The explosion it creates is stronger than other Lethal Equipment.

C4 is fantastic for making traps when paired with something like the Prox Alarm or placed on an objective since you will get a cue when it’s being captured.

If you’re careful, you can aggressively throw it at areas you think enemies will be. However, the throwing range is much shorter than most other lethal equipment, and there is a delay on when you can detonate the C4, limiting its potential when used aggressively.

Still, the large blast radius and the option to not detonate it if you change your mind can be incredibly useful.

4Flashbang

Blinded By Science

Hitting what you can’t see is an incredible challenge, which is what makes Flashbangs so strong. This tactical equipment blinds and deafens you if you’re hit by it for a short period. You can move and shoot normally but won’t know what you’re doing.

If you’re using this Equipment, try not to approach enemies from the front since they could still get a lucky kill on you that way.

Like the Concussion Equipment, Flashbangs are great for figuring out the location of enemies with hit markers because of their large blast radius.

The duration of the effect is significantly shortened with the Tac Mask perk. Still, it can mess up someone’s aim enough to get the drop on them.

3Shock Charge

Shockingly Versatile

This Tactical Equipment has several purposes. It can be thrown a long distance and will stick to walls. Once deployed, it shocks any enemy that enters its vicinity.

The shock prevents whoever is affected by it from sprinting or aiming down sights, in addition to lowering hip-fire accuracy.

This equipment can be used aggressively, similar to the Concussion Tactical, or defensively as a tool to watch your flank.

Something that makes this Tactical so powerful is that it’s not countered by anything other than the Trophy System Field Upgrade, which will destroy any equipment that’s mid-air within the Field Upgrade’s range.

At least you can’t blame aim assist anymore!

2Stim Shot

Military Grade Health Potion

Unless you’re using the Enforcer Combat Specialty or Guardian Perk, you will often have situations where you wish you could heal faster. This Tactical Equipment does just that, healing you upon use.

The Stim Shot prevents you from aiming down sights for a short period as it’s being used, but not shooting, so it pairs well with weapons with good hip-fire potential like SMGs.

It also refreshes your Tactical Sprint stamina, allowing for a quick escape from a dangerous situation.

This Equipment is a must for going on long kill streaks since fighting at anything other than full health can easily get you killed.

Hey, Catch!

The classic lethal equipment is a classic for a reason. Being able to time an explosion that can be thrown long distance is incredibly powerful.

Once the pin is pulled, the timer on the explosive is ticking. You can cook the grenade, holding onto it for a second or two, to prevent the enemies from having any time to react.

You can also use the uncooked grenade in a pinch to cover your flank for a short period, as few people will push up on a live grenade, even with Flak Jacket. This could give you enough time to reload or run around the corner.
