Today’s Nintendo Direct Mini was, well, just that. But it came with some big news on upcoming and existing titles - one of them beingCadence of Hyrule, the title that mashesCrypt of The NecrodancerandThe Legend of Zeldainto one gorgeous battle to classic gaming tunes. The game was originally released on June 07, 2025, on Switch and hasn’t made the trip to any other platforms just yet. Now a year out from its release,Cadence of Hyruleis treating players with not one but three different DLC packs.

The first of the trio is a character pack that adds fivenew charactersfrom classicLegend of Zeldatitles; Impa, Aria, Shadow Link, Shadow Zelda and Frederick. Second is a melody pack that adds 39 new songs to the game. Composed by FamilyJules, A_Rival and Chipzel, this new tracklist includes remixed versions of the game’s background music which can be changed at any time. The final DLC pack forCadence of Hyruleis titledSymphony of The Maskand puts players in the shoes of Skull Kid, a recurring character inThe Legend of Zeldaseries. As this mischievous mask-wearer, players can venture through a new map with new songs, enemies and a new story to boot. To change things up a little bit more, Skull Kid can switch masks to gain new abilities.

The first DLC pack forCadence of Hyrule, the character pack, will be available later today with the second and third packs releasing at a later date before the end of October. It’s just as well that instead of buying all three separately, a Season Pass including all DLC will also be going on sale later today. Of course, this all leaves out those of us that have never playedCadence of Hyrule. If you’re a part of that group, simply wait until October 23, when a version ofCadence of Hyrulewith all DLC included releases on Switch. As of writing, no pricing for the DLC packs, Season Pass, or the new version ofCadence of Hyrulehas been released. This article will be updated with those prices as they become available.
