The movie which was released last year in November bombed at the box office and only managed to gross almost $206 million reportedly becoming the first flop of MCU.The MarvelsstarringBrie Larsonwas allegedly supposed to gross almost $440 million just to break even but unfortunately, it did not even come close.
Last year, the CEO of Disney, Bob Iger even opened up about the failure ofThe Marvelsin an interview withCNBCand said filming during Covid-19 times was one of the main reasons for the failure of the movie. He said,

“The Marvels’ was shot during Covid. There wasn’t as much supervision on the set, so to speak, where we have executives [that are] really looking over what’s being done day after day after day.”

Brie Larson first made her directorial debut with the comedy-drama movie,Unicorn Storeback in 2017 which was the first movie of 2 movie deal.Lady Businessis the 2nd movie of her deal with Netflix which will direct and likely star in. According toDeadline,the movie revolves around “two young female entrepreneurs, Penelope Gazin and Kate Dwyer, who had to invent a third male company founder to be taken seriously in the business world.”

2. Untitled CIA series
Back in 2019, Brie Larson had signed up to play the role of CIA agent Amaryllis Fox in an untitled CIA series that will based on the real-life story of an agent of the name. According to sources, the series will be based on Amaryllis Fox’s memoir,Life Undercover: Coming of Age in the CIA.The description of the book is already thrilling enough for one to realize that a series based on this book would be pretty amazing. “Amaryllis Fox was in her last year as an undergraduate at Oxford studying theology and international law when her writing mentor Daniel Pearl was captured and beheaded.
