Baldur’s Gate 3is becoming a game with very few bugs, thanks to the diligent work of Larian Studios who is fixing them them patch by patch. There are also exploits that Larian has intentionally left in the game because their presence is a net positive, like the ability torecruit Minthara without killing the tieflings, or the variousspeedrun-specific exploits.
In the case of Reddit userGoleeb’s save, a bug caused a funny yet tragic situation to occur at their camp, as seen in the picture below. The praying individual is a member of the Flaming Fist, the dubious mercenary group responsible for the policing of Baldur’s Gate.

This unexpected visitor is originally found in Waukeen’s Rest, the burning inn you encounter in the northern section of Act 1. They are found praying over the corpse of a fellow mercenary who perished in the fire, a noble and righteous act.
However, our opportunistic protagonist stole the corpse and stuffed it in a crate for future necromantic purposes. Just because you’ve been squirrelled away to be raised as undead doesn’t mean nobody is looking out for you. The same Flaming Fist member subsequently appeared at camp, praying over the crate. A true display of solidarity; a testament to the camaraderie among the Flaming Fist under Ulder Ravengard.

This bug is reminiscent of something you’d observe in an Elder Scrolls game, like when Faendal insists on moving into your home as well if you marry Camilla Valerius in Skyrim. Baldur’s Gate 3 is almost too well-made, so it’s good to see there’s still potential for some unintended hilarity.
