Curse of Strahd is set in a land called Barovia, which is separated from the rest of the D&D multiverse. The players find themselves in a realm held beneath the tyrannical thumb ofCount Strahd von Zarovich, a powerful vampire and mage. It’s up to the party to learn the secrets of Strahd’s past and find ancient weapons hidden around the land, to overthrow him and escape his realm.
Project Strahd intends to be as faithful to the source material as possible, along with the addition of new companions who will flesh out the story.

Baldur’s Gate 3’s upcoming subclasses in Patch 8 are exploring the history of D&D 5e and before.
Naturally, many D&D fans are excited to see Curse of Strahd brought to life, with many offering to assist in the project with asset creation.
The big question is whether the mod will make it to release, as Hasbro or Wizards of the Coast could easily stamp it out beforehand. Hopefully, Project Strahd will make it over the finishing line, and Baldur’s Gate 3 players will be given the chance to cross blades with thelord of Barovia.
