Not every lead inAtomfallleads to a major discovery. Sometimes, they’re breadcrumbs that introduce you to key people or locations that help you discover new leads.
That’s the case with the Grendel’s Head lead. It may not lead to a groundbreaking revelation or a key item, but it puts you at the right place at the right time to stumble upon other vital leads inAtomfall.
Atomfall: Dificulty Modes Explained

This guide has everything you need to know about completing the Grendel’s Head lead inAtomfall.
First, you’ll need to head to Grendel’s Head in Wyndham Village. Once you’re inside, talk to Alf Buckshaw. Talking to him can also start theWindfall Shipment lead, but for this guide, we’re focused on the Grendel’s Head lead.
To start that chain, talk to Alf and choose these dialogue options, assuming it’s your first time chatting with him :
Alf will then tell you to visit several people: Nora and Eric, both of whom are in Skethermoor.
Alf’s Request: Collect a Message From Nora
Head up to Nora’s Barn in Skethermoornear 41.8 E, 77.5N. She doesn’t like visitors, so don’t let the locks on the front door deter you.
Head around to the back and be mindful of the traps. Eventually, you’ll find her white barn. Enter and speak with Nora. Choose these dialogue options:
Nora will then hand you the message, which we need to return to Alf. you may keep chatting with Nora,barter, and trade for items. Once you’re done, it’s time to head to Eric.
Alf’s Request: Collect a Message From Eric
Eric is in one of the disused greenhouses near 43.3E, 74.9N.Be careful heading this way, as you’ll have to pass the heavily defended Protocol Field Station. There’s a crossroads at 41.8E, 76.5 N, where heading south leads to the Field Station. Stay north, running around the hill, and you’ll be safe.
There are several greenhouses here; you want the one at 43.2E, 74.9N. Be careful, though, as there’s a trap in the front doorway.
Head in, where you’ll find a dead body lying inside. As you may have guessed, that body belongs to Eric. Thankfully, his killer didn’t steal his message, so we can loot it and return it to Alf.
Atomfall: The Windfall Shipment Lead Guide
This guide explains how to complete The Windfall Shipment Lead in Atomfall.
With the two notes in your inventory, it’s time to deliver them to Alf. Head back to Wyndham Village and enter Grendel’s Head, where Alf will be waiting for you.
Inform Alf of the messages, and the lead will be resolved. Sadly, this means telling Alf that Eric is dead, but you could be evasive with your response and beat around the bush. Alf’s reaction doesn’t change, though.
