There are many ways to harvest materials inAtelier Ryza 3. you may do so by hand, using your staff, or by using the handful of survival tools you can craft. Depending on which option you choose, you may get a different variety of materials.

While this approach adds a ton of variety to the experience, it can also make it challenging to find the required materials you need when crafting a recipe. One of the trickier materials to find in the earlier part of the game is the Rainbow Wing Fragment. But fret not, this guide will show you exactly how to find it, and what recipes to use it in.
How To Find Rainbow Wing Fragment
You can find Rainbow Wing Fragments by defeating certain late-game enemies, or by harvesting them from the giant blue crystals scattered throughout the world. The latter is the easiest way to find them but will require you to have leveled up your Ravage Hammer to include the Masterful Crushing skill. This allows you to harvest tier three materials which is why you weren’t able to get the fragments prior to the upgrade.
Once you have the Masterful Crushing effect on your hammer, head to Cleria to find the crystals. In the Fairystone Cargo Route area, you’ll find the crystals right next to the Rainbow Magic Crystal landmark, beneath the bridge to the east of Sardonica.

How To Use Material
Now that you have the Rainbow Wing Fragments, you’ll be able to craft one of the more important recipes in the game - Colorful Oil. While this crafted material doesn’t do a whole lot on its own, it is the only way to craft some of the rarest ingredients, like Spirit Bottle and Crystal Element. Both materials on their own are amazing ingredients to have at your disposal. This is because they are usable in most recipes, and they both have every elemental value, making them useful in any kind of material loop you’re able to imagine.
Crystal Element is also required to craft one of the best accessories in the game, the Four Spirits Amulet. The amulet reduces the CC cost for all of your Core Items and will boost items of every element type once upgraded enough. This makes it the quintessential accessory to have equipped when heading into some of the more challenging enemy and boss encounters, effectively making you an unstoppable force to be reckoned with.
