Despite what you might initially think, there are actually multiple types of water ingredients inAtelier Ryza 3. This includes Clean Water, Foamy Water, and even Black Water.

Black Water is a required ingredient to make Taboo Drop, which in turn, will allow you to make a Holy Drop. Along with this, it can also be usedfor Ice Bombs, Neutralizers, Ciel Shoot, Zettels, and much more. There aren’t many spots where you can find the ingredient, so to prevent you from needing to search the extensive map for hours, we have provided a few locations to find it.
Northern Crimson Garden House
Black Water is an ingredient that we have currently only found within theCrimson Garden Landmark,located in thenorthern section of the Abandoned Village region.The first spot we found Black Water was within asmall house northwest of the Crimson Garden Landmark, shown on the map above.
When you arrive at the Landmark, head up thenorthwestern pathuntil you are just outside a wooden house. Inside,make your way right until you see a small, shining pot on the ground.Break this open with your weapon to get Black Water.
Southern Crimson Garden House
The next location will also be within a house near to the Crimson Garden Landmark. However, this time, it will be foundin the underground mines beneath the house, leading you to a multitude of pots of Black Water.
As you can see from the map shown above, the house will besoutheast of the Landmark, and you can reach it by following the southern path.As you arrive, head inside the house, and you’ll notice a large opening in the floor just ahead.Use the ladder to drop into the mines below, and there will be two pots of Black Water immediately on your right.Move forward, and there will bea few more pots on the left.

Southern Crimson Garden House Well
The last area where we were able to find Black Water is just outside another house in the southern part of Crimson Garden, next to a well. From the previous house, make sure you are back above ground andexit from here.Then,head southeast following the main road, and you’ll spot a small, wooden housesurrounded by broken down items, rocks, and an old well.Just in front of the well, there will be a lone potthat you’re able to break open for some Black Water.
These are currently the only locations where we were able to find the ingredient early in the game. There is a possibility that there are more spots where it can be found, but at the moment these are theeasiest places to grab the ingredient and make a Taboo Drop.
