Assasin’s Creed Miragewill give players a total of 6 tools to use alongside their sword, dagger, and hidden blade. These tools can range in utility from taking down guards in stealth from a range or helping players turn the tide when outnumbered in combat.

The Blowdart is one of the four tools players can choose to unlock after continuing through the main story. Without any upgrades, this useful tool can put guards to sleep, non-lethally taking them out of commission, but can later be upgraded to cause some serious chaos.
8Increased Range
The Blowdart can be an excellent tool for players trying to quietly take out guards. While there are a few different types of Blowdarts to choose from with later upgrades, all of them can be made more effective by hitting your targets from a safer distance.
All of the Blowdart effects take effect immediately, making it usually safe to approach a target as long as they get hit before noticing Basim. While this upgrade makes the Blowdart a safer tool to use, other upgrades are much more worth the risk they carry to use.

7Extra Capacity
Unlike throwing knives, Basim is unable to collect darts after they hit and affect a guard. This upgrade increases your total carry capacity of darts, which can be a generally useful upgrade for those who like using this tool often.
While more darts are easy to find in supply chests or by purchasing more from traders, this upgrade will really only be used when preparing for longer missions that will require a lot of darts to complete.

6Lethal Dose
The Lethal dose upgrade changes your sleep darts to lethal poison darts. This turns your Blowdart into a silent killing option, but just know the guards won’t go down as quietly or quickly because of the poison.
While this is useful for those wanting to clear a camp of guards, thethrowing knivescomplete the same task, just more effectively. The Blowdart is unique in that it has a non-lethal option, as Basim already has more than enough tools to kill his enemies and doesn’t need another.

The Potency upgrade has guards sleeping for the same duration as normal but now can not be awoken by other guards who find them asleep. This is an incredible option for those trying to complete a contract without killing anyone.

This method won’t take out the other fully awake guard but can give players a bit of room for error in case other patrols stumble across enemies players have put to sleep. While putting enemies to sleep is only a temporary solution, this upgrade at least makes sure it’s permanent for the duration of the dart’s effect.
4Deep Slumber
Deep Slumber is another great upgrade that gives players room for error while trying to complete a mission. With this upgrade, enemies are put to sleep indefinitely, mechanically the same as killing them but still not actually killing them to get the bonus requests for contracts completed.
This upgrade also makes sure enemies are not woken up when they are damaged, letting you put enemies to sleep and finish them off no matter how strong or how much health they have. While there are easier ways to kill an enemy, the indefinite sleep darts are really what make this upgrade shine.

3Cloud Impact
This is a useful upgrade in that it can help players affect more enemies but not use as many darts. It benefits most with the sleep dart option, as two nearby enemies can be put to sleep with the same dart. Berserk darts won’t benefit much, as both enemies will become berserk when only one needs to be to make them fight.
This upgrade can fall off because it’s not often to find two enemies so close together outside of combat, and only when they are running for the same target. For those who can quickly draw and fire a dart, this upgrade can be a fantastic combat option to deal with bunched-up enemies.

2Increase Duration
Increased duration is such a powerful upgrade in that it increases the duration of whatever effect is currently on your Blowdart. This takes any of the other best upgrades for this tool and only makes them more effective.
For stealth contract missions where you need fewer guards patrolling but can’t kill them because of the secondary objective, these darts will put them to sleep for more than enough time. The Berserk upgrade also greatly benefits from this upgrade, as enemies will fight their allies for longer, damaging both of them and even killing some, depending on the matchup.
1Berserker Dart
The Berserker Dart is not only one of the best blowdart upgrades but one of the best upgrades players can put on a tool. Enemies affected by this dart will go crazy and begin attacking any nearby enemies for the duration of the effect.
Using one of these darts can cause a great distraction, while a few of these darts can make a camp of guards fight each other, halving their numbers before you come in to finish off the survivors. With a few berserker darts hitting the right enemies, they can even kill targets forBasimwithout players needing to get anywhere close to a target.
