While Naughty Dog has already announced they’re working onIntergalactic: The Heretic Prophet,the studio has more than just cooking in the oven.
The studio’s boss, Neil Druckmann, confirmed the other project in a new video interview about the ongoing HBO The Last of Us Season 2 TV series.

Naughty Dog Has More Than One Project In Development
In a video chat on YouTube channelPress X to Continue, Druckamnn confirmed that they are working on another game outside of Intergalactic, and this time around, he’ll be producing rather than directing.
Druckman shares, “There’s another game that’s being worked on in Naughty Dog where I’m more of a producer role and I get to mentor and and watch this other team and give feedback and be like the executive in the room I enjoy all those roles.”
Unfortunately, that’s all we’re getting from Druckmann about this. This game could be The Last of Us Part 3 (highly unlikely), to maybe even a new Jak * Daxter game, or perhaps an entirely new IP. Even if details surrounding this game is a mystery, it’s enough to get PlayStation fans excited, given how well Naughty Dog’s games usually turn out to be.

In a recent discussion, Neil Druckmann, the creator of The Last Of Us, described the project’s rocky start and its success at Naughty Dog.
When it comes to The Last of Us Part 3, it’s not a certainty that it will even happen. Druckmann has been cagey when asked about the third chapter in the best-selling series.
For now, the studio’s focus is on Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, which is a sci-fi action game that’s out of Naughty Dog’s comfort zone. It won’t be out next year, but it’s already in a playable state,which Druckmann says is “incredible.”
Druckmann is also focused on completing Season 2 of HBO’s The Last of Us TV series, where he is co-showrunner with Craig Mazin. The hit TV show follows the game, though the story has slight variations. It just aired its penultimate episode “The Price”: yesterday, and it’s final episode of the season is set to air on May 25.
Even without a third game, don’t expect the TV show to go past what’s been told in the gaming franchise,since the showrunners are careful not to follow Game of Thrones' footsteps.
