During her conversation with the publication, the actress recalled how her identity had turned ‘toxic’ following her co-hosting and winning the Best Supporting Actress award at the 2013 Oscars. She said,
“A lot of people wouldn’t give me roles because they were so concerned about how toxic my identity had become online.”

Talking about her upcoming movie;The Idea of You, she explained what made her say yes to playing Solène. The actress said that it’s not like one healthy, consensual female orgasm is going to change the world but she is happy to be a part of a story that takes pleasure in female pleasure. She added,
“This is the first time I’ve known myself this well. I don’t live in what others think of me. I know my own mind and I am connected to my own feelings.”
