There have been no confirmations.Eyes of Wakandais a spin-off of theBlack Pantherfranchise and focuses on the rich history of the fictional country of Wakanda. The show is reportedly centered on the War Dogs, a group of mercenaries who are tasked with retrieving Vibranium artifacts that have traveled outside the purview of Wakanda.

Finn Jones had played the role of Danny Rand in the Netflix series and had reprised his role in the crossover miniseriesThe Defenders. TheIron Fistshow was one of the lowest-rated series of the Marvel-Netflix partnership but was improving in the second season when it was abruptly canceled.

Why Were The Charlie Cox-led Marvel-Netflix Shows Canceled?

The actor played the role of the blind lawyer who doubles as a vigilante fighting for justice in a suit, taking on the moniker ‘The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen’. The series was well-received and was commissioned for additional seasons.

Charlie Cox also reprised his role in other Netflix Marvel entries such asThe Defenders, which saw other heroes such as Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Danny Rand a.k.a Iron Fist team up together. In late 2018, Disney announced that they had canceled the Marvel Netflix series, beginning withIron Fist, which starred Finn Jones in the lead. The show had aired two seasons, while the partnership’s best-rated series that was Charlie Cox’sDaredevilhad only gotten to season three. Other shows such asJessica Jones, Luke Cage,andThe Punisherwere also canceled.

No explicit reason was given for the cancelation, but Marvel announced that the shows would be available on their own streaming platform Disney+. Marvel and Netflix issued a joint statement toDeadline,

“Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is proud of the series and grateful for all of the hard work from our incredible cast, crew, and showrunners. We’re thankful to the fans who have watched these two seasons, and for the partnership we’ve shared on this series.”

ThoughDaredevilhad ended, Charlie Cox was expected to reprise the role in the MCU and he had his first appearance inSpider-Man: No Way Home.
