Masashi Kishimoto has created several memorable characters inNarutobut each of them didn’t get equal attention from the creator. Kishimoto dreaded working on a few characters in the manga, either because of their art designs or due to the reception from fans such as in the case of Sakura.

Here are five characters that Masashi Kishimoto is terrified to work on:-
1Kaguya Otsutsuki
Kaguya was the final boss in theNarutoseries but she has gained mixed responses since her introduction inEpisode 460of Shippūden anime. The problem was that Masashi Kishimoto opted to use a newly-arrived Otsutsuki as the main antagonist of the Fourth Ninja War rather than fully fleshed-out characters such as Madara Uchiha.
Otsutsukis are extraterrestrial beings that paved the way for the story ofBoruto. However, the clan’s introduction seemed rushed because Kishimoto didn’t previously plan to lengthen the series. Fortunately, Kaguya’s introduction could now have major implications forBoruto: Two Blue Vortex.

2Sakura Haruno
Sakura is a polarizing character in bothNarutoandBoruto. When the series began, Masashi Kishimoto was proud of creating a character who had realistic flaws and weaknesses. However, such characteristics made her look far weaker than her counterparts while fans regarded her as a ‘drama queen’.
During an interview with Kobayashi, transcribed byFandom, Kishimoto thought he would “appeal to the female fans” with his depiction of Sakura. Over time, he realized that even the girls hated the character and instantly regretted his decision to formulate Haruno’s persona in such a way.

3Young Obito
A mangaka often gets bored of repeatedly drawing a certain difficult illustration. This was the case with Young Obito, whose goggles had to be depicted in every scene during his tragic backstory.
Masashi Kishimoto faced a similar problem when drawing the goggles of a Young Naruto Uzumaki. It became tedious and repetitive such that Kishimoto avoided drawing the piece of attire completely.

Narutocreator Masashi Kishimoto loved working on the immortality concept that was attributed to Hidan. However, he was also a ‘bit worried’ about depicting the character’s powers. The mangaka didn’t want to give wrong ideas to the younger shonen fans.

Kishimoto mentioned one of the scenes in which Hidan stabbed himself and enjoyed it. He might have been referring to the scene in which Hidan used his Retractable Spear and ritual technique to murder Asuma Sarutobi by plunging the spear into his own body.
5Naruto Uzumaki in theBorutoseries
Masashi Kishimoto is clearly exasperated with the spiky-haired ninja that is synonymous with his magnum opus. In theBoruto: Next Generationsseries, Naruto was more in the spotlight than the character of Boruto. Thus, Kishimoto had to severely limit his capabilities, a very controversial decision.
Naruto lost his Ten-Tailed Beast named Kurama in Boruto. A few chapters later, he was sealed by Kawaki in another dimension along with Hinata. Kishimoto is obviously ignoring working on the Seventh Hokage to develop Boruto’s character in the eyes of the readers.
