But now times have changed, and their ratings have changed. Similarly, for goalkeepers, Germany’s Manuel Neuer and Italy’s Gianluigi Buffon made a habit of being the highest-rated final frontiers in this long-hailed soccer simulation title. 5Ederson (Manchester City/Brazil) – 88 OVR
The no. 5 on this list is Ederson from Brazil. This player has been instrumental in Manchester City’s four consecutive English Premier League wins. However, his last year’s performance is regarded as the best of all four. Starting his career in Portugal’s second-division league, this player later went on to replace famous Chelsea stopper Claudio Bravo as the first-choice keeper in the 2017 side of Manchester City. With 13 clean sheets in 33 EPL matches last season, Ederson clearly deserves this rating.

This player needs no introduction, as the recent footballing years clearly belong to this man. Despite missing out almost the whole season, Courtois didn’t hesitate to guard the post for Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League Final last season after coming back from a serious ACL injury.

Another goalkeeper from Brazil on this list is Liverpool’s Alisson Becker. This goalkeeper has been an integral part of the team since his arrival in 2018. He was one of the main reasons why Liverpool won the 2018-2019 UEFA Champions League. He also played an important role when the Reds put an end to their EPL drought of 30 long years.
1Gianluigi Donnarumma (PSG/Italy) – 89 OVR
The no one on that list is again an Italian, not that 46-year-old beast. This time the best-rated goalkeeper inFC 25is Gianluigi Donnarumma. After winning the 2021 UEFA Euro for Italy, this 25-year-old goalie came to PSG. He was outstanding for the French side last season as the team managed to win the domestic treble in 2023-2024.
